How is the test secured and proctored?

Envoy is proctored by AI. If a test is flagged for review due to suspicious behaviour, inconsistencies or technical issues, the AI investigates at the first stage. If the algorithm has low confidence, it is then sent to a human reviewer for further review.

Does Envoy offer real-time human proctoring?

No, Envoy is not proctored by humans in real time. If the AI detects malpractice or suspicious behaviour that it cannot fully determine as cheating, it may escalate the test to a human, who will review the results and determine if there was cheating.

Can the anti-cheating detection be turned off?

Yes it can be, the administrator has the ability to disable the anti-cheating feature when creating a project. Student’s are unable to turn it off. If a test is completed without anti-cheating detection this will be noted on the score report.

Does the platform warn students if it detects or suspects cheating?

The system will warn the student in some cases, they will recieve a notification advising them of their action and that their test may be invalidated. In other cases a student could complete the entire test and it be invalidated after it's been completed.
